WILL YOU BE READY IN THE GREAT DAY?

Fear God and give glory to him for the hour of his judgements has come. God's judgements will be poured out against sin and wherever sin may be found. Sin is the transgression of God's Law (1 John 3:4) and the wages of sin is death! (Romans 6:23). If you have broken any of God's commandments throughout your life you have sinned and are guilty before God.

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me (Who has your heart? What do you like to think about? What are your favorite thoughts and affections? For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also (Matthew 6:23)

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments (Anything you serve and spend time doing or making if it is not following God can become your idol).

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain (Using God's name lightly and without respect and also professing to be a follower but not practicing God's ways).

4. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it (God's sabbath rest is the 7th Day of the week which is our Saturday. Worship for God is everyday but the 7th Day God has set aside and made a holy day in it we are to rest as God did from creation and do no work. There is a reason why God has said remember. There is a reason why this day is a sign of worship).

5. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

6. Thou shalt not kill.
7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8. Thou shalt not steal.
9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.
10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's (Exodus 20:3-17).

Today if you will hear his voice harden not your heart for God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).  Seek ye the Lord while he may be found call upon him while he is near; Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon (Isaiah 55:6-7).

 

All of us have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23) and the wages of sin is Death but God has made a way of escape for us (Romans 6:23). For God so loved the world that he gave us his only boggott0n son, that whosoever should believe on him, including his death on the cross for our sins will not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). This is a free gift from God to you to help you to be ready (Romans 5:15-18). Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 4:17) and God's judgements are coming! If we accept God's free gift all we need to do is turn away from sins by seeking God everyday, confess our sins to God in private to him and he will forgive us our sins and will cleanse us from all wrong doing and save us from the coming judgements (1 John 1:9, Rev 7:3).
